There is currently an outbreak of mpox (a viral infection caused by the monkeypox virus) in countries where spread of this virus is atypical. While mpox case numbers have decreased in both New York State and New York City, the Student Health Center continues to monitor the situation closely.

- If you think you may have mpox or have had a known exposure, we are here to help you. To speak with a member of the Student Health team, call 212.241.6023 or email studenthealth@mssm.edu.
- Testing for mpox is also available through NYC Health and Hospital Services and community clinics such as Callen-Lorde.
MPV Vaccine (JYNNEOS) can be accessed at Mount Sinai Hospital or via the NYC Department of Health and Mental Health.
