The high caliber of clinical training, renowned faculty, and the friendly and supportive fellows. Interests and hobbies outside of the hospital: Biking, Running, and Golf. Reading Historical Memoirs. Name: Adam Russak College: University of Rochester, Double Major in Applied Mathematics & Biology, Minor in Classics and Classical Civilization Medical School: University of Rochester Residency: Mount Sinai Hospital Honors, awards and distinctions: Phi Beta Kappa, AOA, Chief Resident, Recipient of the US-UK Summer Institute Fulbright Scholarship, Accepted to Harvard Macy Post-Graduate Medical Education Course for Future Clinician-Educators Career, educational, and/or research interests: I am interested in cardiac electrophysiology and medical education, and my research interests are in the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to cardiology and arrhythmia care. Why did you choose Mount Sinai for your fellowship training? I chose to train at Mount Sinai because the program offers fellows the opportunity to be mentored by world leaders in every division of cardiac care and the ability to work directly with clinicians and researchers writing the clinical guidelines. The diversity of pathophysiology at Mount Sinai provides fellows a comprehensive and well-rounded educational experience, and the programmatic leadership really makes the training environment feel like a family. Interests and hobbies outside of the hospital: I'm a huge sports fan (Dodgers, Patriots, and Clippers!), and I love to cook. I play jazz trumpet and enjoy outdoor activities, including swimming and hiking. |

Why did you choose Mount Sinai for your fellowship training? Incredible clinical training in all cardiovascular disease, with the opportunity to treat a vastly diverse patient population, within a supportive environment to pursue your academic interests. Interests and hobbies outside of the hospital: I enjoy staying active, going out for runs or playing tennis on the weekends. I'm also a big fan of good food and won't miss an opportunity to try a new restaurant. |
