I am excited to announce the launch of the Brain and Body Research Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The purpose of the Center is to understand how the connections between the brain and peripheral organ systems (i.e. immune system, cardiovascular system, etc.) can affect a person’s health. The Brain and Body Research Center will harness the brain’s connection with the body to conquer disease.
Collaboration is very important to producing great work. I’ve found research to be its most successful when you join forces with other researchers who you can trust and with whom you can work. My goal is to create, develop, and work together with other researchers within Icahn Mount Sinai across a broad array of medical and scientific specialties to better diagnose and treat today’s most impactful diseases.
I am eager to mentor the next generation of researchers and help foster hard work, discipline and most importantly, the love of research. We hope our work at the Brain and Body Research Center will connect with the public in a meaningful way.
We appreciate your interest in our program and look forward to hearing from you.
