At the Brain and Body Research Center, we are seeking to understand the link between the brain and the body. Led by Director, Scott Russo, PhD, our team of physicians and researchers will explore how the brain controls peripheral diseases and vice versa to better understand how the brain and body interact during multiples types of conditions. These include diseases caused or aggravated by stress such as depression/anxiety, diabetes, autoimmunity/inflammation, irritable bowel syndrome, cardiovascular disease, skin diseases, etc.
Join the Brain-Body Seminar Series. This new series brings together outstanding leaders, both within the Mount Sinai community and beyond, to highlight recent advances in understanding connections between the brain and body in health and disease. Learn more.
