Equity and Inclusion
The Mount Sinai Health System stands firmly for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and against all forms of bias, discrimination, and hatred. Our United in Solidarity website seeks to connect, inform, and engage the Mount Sinai community on issues pertaining to Black Lives Matter and efforts to instill an anti-racist culture.
The Mount Sinai Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science is committed to fighting for a diverse, all inclusive, anti-racist healthcare system and program. To this end, the residents initiated and have joined forces with the Department leadership to create an anti-racism task force to address the systems in place that do not benefit patients of color, to improve the quality of care we provide, and to continue to diversify our department and residency and fellowship programs. The task force is divided into subcommittees which are working diligently to support our residents, fellows, faculty and patients of color. The subcommittees are involved in Advocacy, Ambulatory Services, Education/Recruitment, Gynecology/Gynecologic Oncology, and Labor and Delivery.
