The mission of the Center for Clinical Informatics in the Department of Pathology, Molecular and Cell-Based Medicine is to educate, train, and develop the next generation of clinical informaticists and meet the workforce needs in health information technology and health care for the 21st century.
Our vision is to establish the Center and the Clinical Informatics Fellowship training program as a national leader in training. To do so, we will leverage the strengths of Clinical Informatics at Mount Sinai, Informatics innovation, and the unique blend of operational and academic Informatics.
Our goal is to make Mount Sinai Health System a national leader for the training of Clinical Informatics Fellows and provide an academic home for Clinical Informatics Fellows, in collaboration with the Department of Medicine’s Division of General Internal Medicine. Our planned activities include Didactic Seminars, Journal Club, Guest Lecturers and Board Review.
